"The operational data store is subject-oriented and contains current, integrated, consistent data that reflects the current state of its subject. Operational data stores are similar to enterprise data warehouses in that they may include data from different systems that has been made consistent. Operational data stores are different from enterprise data warehouses in that they are updated frequently to reflect the current state of the operational systems."
