Application Architecture: Enterprise Service Bus (Definitions)

🌁Software Engineering: Event-Driven Architecture (Definition)

"A software architecture pattern promoting the production, detection, consumption of, and reaction to events. Some consider EDA to be an extension of or complement to SOA; others consider EDA to be part of the SOA approach (a special message exchange pattern where the service provider sends a message to multiple consumers)." "An architectural style in which one or more components in a software system are event-driven and minimally coupled. 'Minimally coupled' means that the only relationship between the event producer and the event consumer is a one-way, “fire and forget” notification.
